Kit Harington has revealed that he shed tears when he read the final script for Game of Thrones – which will come to a conclusion in the final season in 2019.The 30-year-old actor – who has portrayed Jon Snow in the hit HBO fantasy drama series since it’s first season – says he ‘knows everything’ about how the show will conclude.Speaking The One Show on Friday, Kit – who recently got engaged to his partner and former on-screen love interest Rose Leslie – said: ‘We had the read-through last week in fact, so I know everything now.’I cried at the end. You have to remember that eight years of it no one really cares about it more than us.’It’s been an institution longer than any other institution I’ve been in. School, drama school, anything.’I get a bit weepy thinking about it. It’s going to be a strange year saying goodbye to everyone and having last scenes with this person and that person. Not only you’re attached to it, loads of people around the world are attached to it.’Obviously everyone involved has been sworn to secrecy about how the series will end, and Kit spoke about this too.'[I was told], “Don’t tell them when you’re filming. Don’t take pictures in Belfast.Don’t do all of that”. It’s on lockdown!’ he said. Despite shedding a tear at the thought of his time in the fictional land of Westeros coming to an end, Kit previously admitted part of him was pleased to be finishing his run on the show, as it will give him the time to pursue other projects. But it seems his character will be one he finds it hard to separate from – especially in light of his recent revelation that he went to a fancy dress party dressed as Jon Snow because his fiancé Rose forced him to.He had been going to a ‘bad taste’ themed party with Rose and had been offered the costume in a fancy dress shop by the retail worker who didn’t recognise him.Kit told Heat magazine: ‘She pulled out a Jon Snow costume, and Rose just whispered in my ear “I won’t love you if you don’t wear it.You should do it”‘. Describing the moment he attended the party, Kit recalled: ‘It was really embarrassing. The people bringing around canapes were looking at me, thinking. ‘You’re sad man! You’ve come to a party dressed as your character’.Adding insult to injury, Kit revealed that the fancy dress shop assistant appeared to recognise him as he left, which he claimed made the incident ‘even sadder’.Kit has played Jon Snow since the show began six years ago, and met his fiance Rose on the set as she played his love interest, Ygritte. The couple – who have been dating since 2012 – announced their engagement this month with a traditional announcement in The Times newspaper. And Kit and Rose’s wedding is set to be such a monumental affair that it could bring production on the eighth and final season to a complete standstill – given that half of the guests are likely involved in the show.Talking to Jonathan Ross, Kit revealed that he fully expects some time off to get married – ‘I rang [the producer] up and I said, “I’m getting married and it’s your fault, actually.”‘I was like, “You need to factor in a Game of Thrones wedding by the way. [The cast] have all got to be there so the whole thing has got to shut down.’While fans were thrilled for the on and off-screen couple and their exciting news, the potential delay in filming will surely stress them out further given that they already have to wait until 2019 for the final season.Yet whilst the Game of Thrones cast may all be in attendance, Kit has ruled out a themed wedding representing the HBO series.’No. There is absolutely no chance of me convincing her of that,’ he revealed bluntly.
